We all fell in love with Buster
The Christmas countdown began when John Lewis released its festive TV advert. Costing £1 million to make, it featured 5 year old Boxer dog Biff who jealously watches wildlife using his family’s trampoline before having a go himself.
George Michael announcement
George Michael confirmed he would be releasing a new album in 2017, his first for 3 years. Producer and songwriter Naughty Boy’s working with George on some of the tracks.
Fantastic Beasts
Just days before the release of her first Harry Potter spin-off movie, author JK Rowling confirmed there would be four sequels. Starring Eddie Redmayne and featuring a cameo from Johnny Depp, ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ went straight to the top of the UK Box Office.
Reality bites
In the world of reality TV, Ed Balls’ luck finally ran out on Strictly. He left the show in week 10 after failing to impress the judges with his cha cha cha. Honey G departed X Factor after singing for survival against 5 After Midnight. Days later the rapper announced she had signed a deal with Simon Cowell’s record label.
