Fawlty Towers star John Cleese supported Britain’s exit from the EU saying he couldn’t wait for Britain to stop being ‘ruled by Brussels bureaucrats’.

Adele's big moment arrived in June when she became the first female solo act to headline Saturday evening at Glastonbury. Despite the set going down well with fans, the singer faced criticism on social media for repeatedly swearing during the set.
Mohammad Ali dies
June was not exempt from the sad theme running through the year as we lost one of the world's greatest sporting figures - Muhammad Ali. The former world champion died aged 74.
Ellie and the Prince
Ellie Goulding and Prince Harry were seen together at the polo, forcing the singer to deny reports the pair were dating. Harry would later confirm a relationship with actress Meghan Markle
Let It Shine
Gary Barlow and the BBC announced plans for a new talent show to help find performers for a new Take That musical. 'Let It Shine' will hit TV screens in 2017, hosted by Graham Norton and Mel Giedroyc.
