PAT BURKITT

Pat spends every waking moment thinking up ideas for the best possible way to make money for the Ricky grant unit in Tobay Hospital. She has already raised about 15 thousand pounds in total. She does many fundraising days from sponsored walks to events in a local bar. Pat handmakes all sorts of things to sell like scarecrows, jewellery ect. She never asks for recognition and is also a carer for her husband.

GAIL-MARIE SHAPTER

Gail goes above and beyond setting up danceathons to raise funds for Cancer Research Uk. She also gives up all her free time to host the race for life events both in Cornwall and Devon. She was born with slightly deformed hips and has been diagnosed with GAD ( General Anxiety Disorder ) which can make life extremely uncomfortable at times but despite this she became a professional dancer, is now a fitness instructor teaching dance classes throughout the bay and she gives up her time to help raise awareness and money.
